CastoWig 45500 WS

Austenitic weld metal with low carbon content and approx. 10 % δ-ferrite. Resistant to pitting and intergranular corrosion up to 400 °C. Scale resistant up to 800 °C. The lowest operating temperature is -196 °C. Can be polished to a mirror finish.

CastoWig 45500 WS is used in the chemical industry, the textile industry, in machine, apparatus, pipeline and container construction as well as in the general food industry and in breweries.

Processing instructions
Clean welding areas. Limit interpass temperature to 150 °C. Ensure a continuous supply of filler material. Form sufficiently for root welds. Wire brushes
made of austenitic CrNi steels.
