Applications
Joining of iron and copper materials, stainless steels, nickel and nickel alloys
as well as malleable cast iron and hard metal. Approved for use in seawater (VG 81245, part 3) and for copper installations (DVGW, worksheet GW 2).
Gap brazing, e.g. on the following workpieces: Apparatus for heating, cooling and air-conditioning technology, shipbuilding, containers, pipelines, bronze and brass fittings.

Cadmium-free brazing alloys are formulated using alternative materials that offer similar or comparable brazing properties without the addition of cadmium. These brazing alloys are designed for bonding various metals and alloys, including copper, brass, steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

The specific composition of cadmium-free brazing alloys can vary depending on the application and the metals to be joined. Common alloying elements used in cadmium-free brazing alloys include silver, copper, zinc, tin and other elements that promote good wetting and bonding properties.

Cadmium-free brazing alloys often exhibit excellent flow and capillary action, allowing the molten filler metal to spread evenly and form strong bonds with the base metals. They can produce reliable and durable joints with good mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity.

The use of cadmium-free brazing alloys is particularly important in industries such as automotive, aerospace, electronics and food processing where strict regulations or safety requirements apply to minimize the risks associated with cadmium exposure.

It is important to select the appropriate cadmium-free brazing alloy based on the specific application requirements, the composition of the base metals and the desired mechanical and metallurgical properties of the joint.
